What makes National Dance Week - St. Louis so special
St. Louis in support of the National Dance Foundation joins the nation to celebrate National Dance Week. National Dance Week captures everyone's secret desire to be a great dancer. When dance innovators Capezio and Dance Magazine launched the grass-roots event several years ago to bring dance to America's doorstep, St. Louis signed on as a staunch supporter.
The St. Louis Dance Community struts its spirited stuff with performances by professional, university and dance studio companies. The public is invited, free of charge, to view ballet, jazz, tap and modern disciplines, as well as folk and drill teams.
With the mission to heighten awareness of dance and its cultural contributions, National Dance Week has achieved congressional support through the aid of the United Dance Merchants of America. St. Louis sponsors Dancewear Solutions, Audioactive Projects Inc., Enterprise Bank & Trust, Dance St. Louis, Jonathan R. White Photography, Graphic Design STL, Stages Performing Arts Academy, Third Baptist Church, and Grand Center join together to present the annual extravaganza.
